Coffee was just 85 cents for a two-lb.Considered by many in the national sign trade to be one of its true innovators, Ed was among the very first - as the years went by - to explore the use of new substrates, plastics, neon, extruded metals, vinyl and other materials in helping improve the quality of sign design and fabrication.To this day, co-founder Ed Patterson visits the shop frequently and enjoys hearing about restorations of signs he made many years ago.

Art Sign Company of Chambersburg LLC was started back in 1948 as Art Sign Company, by partners Edwin ('Ed') Patterson and Frank Cummins. With only a large-sized drawing board in the rear of a print shop just feet from the nearby town square, Art Sign quickly grew its reputation and business - and with Patterson the sole owner, in 1960 purchased its present location at 470 Nelson Street not far from downtown.

We work on any lighted sign or message center. Whatever it is a blown bulb, a bad transformer, or a bad panel will figure it out and get your sign up and running again. We were the first in the Cumberland Valley to offer innovative, unique lighted sign fabrications and installations. Today, Art Sign Company's lighted division is responsible for all design, planning, installation and service of lighted signs. We're veterans of the lighted sign business, with many years of experience working with businesses throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
We use an ultra-high resolution printer for all of our banner requirements, and we can produce a banner in any size - up to an incredible 300 ft. by 12 ft. We can even design your message and its accompanying artwork, using color for emphasis and also reproducing any logo you may require. We create vinyl lettering for self-application using only the highest quality 3M(R) products for true color, ease of application and lasting durability!

I've been using Art Sign for a couple years. They have done all of my work for two business openings and we could not be happier. Great service, great people, and quality work at very reasonable prices. They've done everything from our signs to business cards, lighting, logos, uniforms, and more.
