We could not be happier with how our sign turned out! Thanks to Joe and the rest of the crew it turned out better than we initially envisioned. To make it even better it turned out exactly like the mock up they had drawn. In addition to the sign Eagle helped us with window decals for the whole office to add an additional layer of privacy for the patients! Thanks again Eagle Sign Co.!

I brought them a neon sign back in December that needed to be repaired. I needed an estimate for insurance and I live 2 hours away. So I told Sue at the front desk what time I'd be there. When I got there no one was there to give me an estimate. I pointed out some scratches and she said they'd have no problem fixing them and the sign would be like new.

I asked Sue to give me a ballpark figure and she thought $200-$250. So I left it and a couple of days later I got a phone call saying it'd be $477. It was $50 over what insurance would cover, but I couldn't drive 4 hours roundtrip for $50. And I thought at least it'd be like new. Wrong! I get a call telling me the sign was fixed. So I drive all the way to Des Moines and I plug it in and half the sign doesn't work.

I wasn't happy about driving 2 hours each way to pick up a broken sign, but I didn't say anything. Sue told me I could buy a transformer off the internet and they'd install it for $150 sign. I knew by looking at it there was no way it took $150 worth of labor to change transformers. So I took it to another place that changed the transformers for $50.

I also found out that Eagle Sign Co. doesn't even repair neon signs. They bring them to another business a couple of miles across town and tack $200 on to the bill. So I called Eagle Sign Co. and asked Sue if I could talk to the person who fixed my sign. She said he wasn't there at the moment, so I asked what his name was and she said his name was Mike Rice.

I then asked her again if Mike was the person who actually fixed the sign. There was a long pause on the phone, as Sue knew she was just caught in a lie, and she then said Mike Rice "oversaw" the project. I told Sue to have Mike call me back when he could. He never did, so I called him a couple of days later and actually got a hold of him. He was pretty adamant it was a common business practice of theirs to tell people they fix the signs, but then have contractors do the actual work then charge extra for facilitating the work.

I also brought up the fact I drove all the way to Des Moines to pick up the sign and it didn't even work. He didn't seem too worried about that as he told me "it's only a beer sign." I finally got him to agree to a $100 refund to cover the repair to the transformer and some gas money, Mike said he'd call me in a couple of days.

Well two months later Sue called me and confused me for another customer, so I asked her to talk to Mike Rice about my sign. She said she would and call me later in the day. She did call and say she "looked" into my file and there was nothing she could do. I then explained everything to her and pointed out I also noticed the scratches weren't fixed, there was a red tube that was replaced with a clear tube, and the blue colors didn't match anymore.

Sue then said she'd look into it and get back to me in a couple of days. She never did. Every time I called, Sue told me she'd get Mike Rice on the phone, but then after a minute or so of waiting he'd be "on the other line" or "not answering his pager." I left a message on his voicemail a few weeks ago telling him to call me back, but nothing.

I doubt I'll be receiving a call from him. My experience with Eagle Sign Co. has been terrible. I didn't find them very honest or trustworthy. Every time I look at that sign I regret doing business with them. I'd definitely steer clear of Eagle Sign Co.
