After many years of sacrificing and saving, my husband and I bought a boat. We wanted to celebrate with a naming ceremony where we would officially name the boat. I had used “FastSigns” before and recommended he use them as it would look professional and he could work with them to design exactly what he wanted.
On Thursday, July 6th, my husband went in to discuss ordering a sign. He explained the font he wanted and specified multiple times he wanted an 80’s neon. He spoke with Madison at the front desk regarding the font style and Kim (we later determined) to discuss font color. He initially asked about matching the color of the stripe on his truck, but she recommended a white reflective material. He told her multiple times he didn’t want white. She explained that they could print on the white, but it wouldn’t be exactly the color he was looking for. He told her he didn’t want white, she again assured him they could print on the white reflective material.
Fast-forward over the next week, he communicated with yet another person, Danielle, about the sign. (Proof #1) They tweaked the font. He asked after the initial proof on July 9th about color options via email. After the proof sent on July 10th (proof #2) he told Danielle he loved the font and asked her to adjust the measurements. On July 10th, he confirmed the size measurements and again asked about color options via email (Proof #3). On July 11th yet another proof was sent. Having been ignored regarding color in all prior emails, my husband approved what he thought was referring specifically to the font. On July 12th, my husband was notified his white sign was ready to be picked up by a fourth person (Delijah). He was told that because he approved the proof, he would need to speak to Kim. This morning, July 13th, my husband was informed Kim would be in the office from 9-3pm. I arrived at 2pm. Kim was not in the office. She arrived around 2:20pm and I explained the situation. She state she was the person who spoke with my husband on the original order. She states she told him it wouldn’t be the color he wanted and he should go with white because it would look better. I explained that over the course of multiple emails he asked about the color and there was no response regarding the color. She said, “It was approved in the portal.” I explained that I understood that, but the designer was making changes requested via email and my husband thought he was approving the font and would have a separate approval for the color. She explained that’s why there is a policy listed in the email. The same email communication she stated wasn’t official communication and was not regarded for color changes because it wasn’t in the portal. I asked her if their normal practice is to instruct their clients to make changes in the portal or to redirect customers who are emailing changes to submit them to the portal. I explained that we have no use for a white sign as my husband specifically discussed with multiple staff, including her, that he wanted a colored sign. Her response again was, “he approved it in the portal.” I asked her how to prevent this for future customers who may not know her company’s procedures and she stated, you can say whatever you want. I said, no, when I review your company, I want other customers to know what to expect from your business. Her response, “ultimately, at the end of the day, what is approved in the portal is what is produced.”
Kim had no interest in resolving the issue, finding a solution, or agreeing that there was some sort of miscommunication. This is not the type of business I prefer to use. We’ll be disputing our charge with our credit card company as Kim stood firm in her stance that, “It was approved in the portal.”
If you’re looking for a personalized sign service, FastSigns Sherman isn’t it.
I will add, I have had much better service at other FastSigns locations and am truly disappointed this was his experience.

Connie provided a Best-of Customer Service Experience during the entire process. She checked and double check the order, measured twice, walked the premise, double checked pricing (no surprises), check installation, and followed-up on my tic-sheet to make sure we had everything in place. Just WOW! Fantastic Experience. Dino

Your sales associate provided alternative options that was not only a savings in cost, but a better product overall than what I was asking for. Your staff continued to followup with me and ensure that from the time I sent in the examples, to proofs, to the final shipment, above and beyond! Thank you for the overall fantastic experience!

Really fast turnaround. Nathan was so helpful in getting the idea I was trying to relay with clunky words, into a functional and complete piece. They worked for my project, and seemed just as excited as I was for it come to fruition. They are very good at what they do. 10/10 will do business here again.

During quarantine many of my customers needed signage for their parking lots explaining curbside pick up and drop off. I was able to work with Connie to order about 50 signs on short notice. She had a skeleton crew and was even sick one day but she did an excellent job. Would be happy to work with her again.

Nathan was Very thorough and on top Of my order! When I call everyone was helpful and I was so pleased with my logo and the orders I have made so far. I had a sign made and they would come to my business to check the sizing and coloring. I was so impressed with the way they make a vision board with what the Signs will look like also!

We had a great experience with Fast Signs, Kareem took great care of us. We just lost our home in a fire and wanted a sign to put in our front yard to thank the neighbors. Even with it being graduation season they did a rush order for us. They even donated part of the sign which was not asked for but was appreciated.

Bait and switch pricing. I'm not sure if it was simply an oversight on their part, or if it's a regular practice of theirs. Either way, they should've tried to resolve the issue rather than letting me go as a customer. I needed a 2'x4' banner made within 2.5 business days. When I called for an estimate, I was told $92. I sent in the file and received a written estimate of $150.
I called to try and reconcile the difference and I was told that it was due to it being a rush job. I noted that the salesperson on the phone with me originally said that because it's so small and because no sewing was needed, they can get it done on time without charging me the extra. He did not budge and said he would cancel the order. Perhaps the original lady was mistaken or spoke too soon, but there are plenty of other printers out there that would at least attempt to make up for it in some way.

Fastsigns of Oakland has excellent customer service. A few months back, Michelle produced a new placard for our electronic box sign for our shop in Alameda. She got the project turned around quickly and done well at a reasonable price. After not getting much help from a sign shop near another shop in Vallejo, I spoke Marie. She gave me expert and thoughtful advice, even for products that they don't produce.

My name is Alexander Belov. My first time working with Fast Signs was quite good and Justin Fong Account manager in Hayward was very helpful and professional. It was one year ago. During these time we have few projects in our church and for my business, even where my magnetic sign start to pilling off, it was my fault (I did not follow the instructions attached) they give me free replacement with decal, all was executed with excellent performing.
Because of this experience I have suggested using Fast signs for all future projects requiring a signage scope in our church. We very much appreciated the hard work put forth by Justin and his team and look forward to working with Fast signs again in the near future.

FANTASTIC customer service. Quite possibly the best in the Bay Area. Oscar at the Oakland location completely won me over-- He was polite, efficient, professional and returned every call. I was on a tight deadline for an insane project and had to call 4+ times in one day, probably had a new issue or question every day that week. He was understanding the entire time and helped me without a complaint. I highly recommend this place! Thank you Oscar and FastSigns!

I'm not a graphic designer so I have a hard time getting on paper what's on my mind. I love that I can send my thoughts to Fastsigns and Michelle Darnell and the Oakland staff can create the vision I see in my head. I've worked with Fastsigns for over 10 years and have also referred my family here. Fastsigns always does a fantastic job with any of my projects. What's also great is that they always recommend the type of materials to use if I'm going to be hanging these signs/banners up on a wall or high up on a building. Thank you Raeleen Pankow

As a new business owner a great piece of advice I received was that marketing is an investment rather than an expense. So, when looking for marketing material I wanted a company that provided quality service & products. The process to submit my designs was seemless. Michelle communicated in detail and answered additional questions to ensure I would be satisfied with my order.
On the day of pickup, I shed a tear. My banners came in durable carrying cases and my tablecloth looked exactly like the proof. At my launch event the attendees were impressed not only by the design but the sturdiness of the hardware. I look forward to working with this team and I'm glad they're a local, Woman owned business! Make the investment, you wont be disappointed.

Great service and high quality product! My banner was done the day before it was promised. Oscar was great, very helpful and attentive. He was off the day of my pickup but made sure that someone was aware of my order so that I didn't fall through the cracks. Highly recommended. I would use FASTSIGNS again.

FastSigns has been a complete pleasure to work with. I've worked very closely with Michelle, Oscar and Marie over the past 4 months and could not be more happy with their service and very importantly, their work! Our office signage, open, open house and for rent signs look outstanding! Looking forward to many more projects in the near future. Thank you thank you thank you!

For the past 10 years (at least) I have done business with this FastSigns office in Sherman, Texas. Owner Todd Bass has built his business on a broad range of quality products, a creative design staff, and 5-star service. As a marketing consultant, my clients don't want to hear excuses about production and delivery issues. Working with the FastSigns team, I have been able to deliver each and every project on time and on budget.
This week, Todd took a last minute trade show project and turned it over a weekend. It arrived at the show on time and exactly as ordered for my client. FastSigns is so much more than yard signs and banners. Their extensive product line meets a lot of needs.
