What materials are used for the signs?
We primarily use mahogany and high-density urethane (HDU) for their durability and weather resistance. HDU is our most common material choice for long-lasting outdoor signs.
How long do the signs last?
Painted finishes typically last 10-15 years depending on sun exposure. South-facing signs may fade faster, but rotating two-sided signs every two years helps equalize weathering.
What factors affect sign pricing?
Cost depends on size, design complexity, and whether the sign is single or double-sided (double-sided adds ~70% to cost). Contact us for personalized estimates.
How long does production take?
The complete design and manufacturing process takes 6-8 weeks. This includes initial design work, material preparation, carving, and finishing touches.
What payment options are available?
We require 50% deposit at ordering with balance due at completion. Accepted payments include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cash, and checks.
Can signs be shipped outside New Hampshire?

The second Welcome To Townsend Sign was installed today on Route 13 just north of North End Road. The two signs installed in the past few weeks are gifts to the Town of Townsend from the Townsend Community Couples Club who designed the signs and raised the money through several fund-raisers in the past few years.
Trenton Goyette for his Eagle Scout project raised the funds to purchase the granite posts and he and his dad Jason and members of the Couples Club and Boy Scouts helped install the two signs.
The signs were hand crafted by Steve McAnney of McAnney Fine Carved Signs in Swanzey, New Hampshire. The Townsend Community Couples Club and Trenton Goyette of Boy Scout Troop 10 in Townsend thank the North Middlesex School Committee and the Townsend Conservation Land Trust for letting us erect these signs on their property.

I highly recommend McAnney's for your sign. He made ours 3 1/2 yrs. ago and it still looks perfect even though it's been hanging outside in the New England weather. The craftsmanship is fantastic, and it looks exactly the way I hoped it would, even better than I expected.
