The owner of Shelton Sign Company (Derek Shelton) started working in the sign business in 1984 for a local sign company. He co-oped from high school for 2 years part time. Loving the business, he worked full-time for the next 8 years. When the local sign company decided to down-size, Derek and his wife Pam decided to take a chance.
