Cooper Architectural Signs was founded in 1962 by 3 family members looking to start something different in the signage industry. Like most businesses, it started off in a garage. David Rothstein joined the company in 1965 as a 4th partner and they moved the company to Canoga Park, CA in 1972. In 1981, David and his wife, bought the company and took full ownership from the Cooper family.
